I’ve missed you…

Thank goodness for local comic book shops!

For awhile we didn’t have one, and though I wasn’t really collecting I did like to go in and look from time to time.

Lately, Alma and I have been talking about opening up a store of our own. We won’t do it here, as the valley is too small for two stores to really do well, and I don’t want to live in the desert forever.

I’m actually coming up with a good inventory/register program for stores to use to make it easier. Lots of ideas, but I’m not a programmer (if any of you programmers are interested in a project let me know!) so going is slow.

Anyway, a new comic shop has opened up locally and I’ve been going in and buying bits and pieces of stuff I’m interested in. Going in slow. I know that there is a lot of excitement with the Avengers movie, but I’m pretty old school and there’s been a large influx of female readers which I deeply encourage; it’s nice not to be alone anymore.

So, I’m back to 1997, and back on the horse again. I bought a stack of stuff that I’ve been interested in and luckily he had, and I put in an order for certain titles that I’m interested in checking out.

It feels good to be back in the fold.



Outside the shop, he has the large cardboard promotional pieces from the Avengers movie. I have always had a love for Hulk and I couldn’t help showing it to him while there. For some reason, whenever I see Hulk this song always plays in the background of my head:



Thank goodness that Alma is understanding, otherwise she might think I’m insane!
